Critics

Le donne di città - di Sonia Cosco

Difficilmente sorridono. Le donne metropolitane di Luca Zampetti non conoscono le mezze misure e preferiscono provocare o ignorare lo spettatore. Amazzoni di una mitologia urbana contemporanea, sono aggressive ed esibizioniste. Portano il circo in città come Margaux, regina del trapezio, matrona che spezza con il blu acceso del costume, le grigie e vertiginose strade di San Francisco o come Gladys la domatrice che porta a spasso il suo leone a Times Square.....

L’emancipazione delle donne di Zampetti s’incarna in un eterno femminino che non ha bisogno di rompere tetti di cristallo perché la sua conquista è orizzontale, si muove nella giungla d’asfalto e motori, siede su vespe che si lasciano ammirare nel traffico o guida macchina sportive in una maliziosa reinterpretazione del mito di Thelma e Louise. A metà tra le algide dive di Hollywood degli anni Cinquanta e le ambiziose arrampicatrici sociali di serie tv come Mad Men o Sex and the City, con le loro labbra rosso vermiglio e la spregiudicatezza delle pose, sono nate dal pop, dal fumetto, dall’avanguardia.
Gli ambienti vuoti caratterizzati dall’assenza umana delle prime opere neometafisiche di Zampetti, si riempiono - a partire dagli anni 2000 - di una fauna urbana che viene sintetizzata con inquadrature cinematografiche e fermo-immagini.
Dissolvenze e realismo, atmosfere oniriche e fisicità, nei lavori di Zampetti c’è originalità e consapevolezza che suggeriscono citazioni e rimandi, come nell’opera Il gioco. Nell’ uomo e nella donna che giocano a biliardo - lui vestito e lei nuda - sembra trovare attualizzata la provocazione del Dejeuner sur l’herbe di Edouard Manet, lo stesso protagonismo conturbante dell’elemento femminile in contrapposizione con l’impersonale borghesismo dell’ elemento maschile.
Al loro passaggio, nell’aereoporto di JFK, o a Times Square - i non-luoghi privi di identità di cui parla l’antropologo Marc Augé - i chiaroscuri della grafite si illuminano di monocromie blu, arancio, verde, come tracce dell’Erlebnis di donne che rivendicano la loro unicità, attraverso il bagliore degli accessori che indossano, le pose provocanti, gli zibellini e i leoni che tengono al guinzaglio e come Fiona dell’omonimo quadro, tutte le altre donne di Zampetti vogliono qualcosa da noi, a partire dalla nostra esclusiva attenzione.
Vivono esistenze frenetiche dalle quali Zampetti cattura frammenti carichi di sospensione e di aspettative, svelati solo dalla soggettiva percezione dello spettatore. Signore o giovani donne glamour, viziate e capricciose, bellissime di una carnalità dannunziana, nascondono nei lineamenti – a volte esasperati da un tocco espressionistico - una durezza di troppo, in cui si rispecchiano, sorelle di Dorian Gray e muse ispiratrici di un Charles Bukowsky, ritratti interiori che immaginiamo torbidi.
La narratività di questi lavori è evidente sin dalla scelta dei titoli. Contro l’aniconicità di certe tendenze dell’arte contemporanea, che procede per sottrazione fino ad arrivare a eliminare anche i titoli delle opere, la Neofiguratività di Zampetti si legge anche attraverso le storie dei titoli.
Diversi sono i linguaggi che usa: il linguaggio della grafite restituisce spesso il senso dell’asfalto e del cemento e si alterna a sfondi colorati realizzati a encausto. I corpi sono resi attraverso un tratto nervoso che graffia, in un gioco di bianchi e neri, sfumature di grigi e colori altisonanti, per una pittura sintetica e dinamica che vive di contrasti, gli stessi in cui è immersa la nostra società consumistica.
